An evening of solidarity with Białystok
In light of the events during the Equality March in Białystok and the numerous violent and discriminatory statements and actions related to “LGBT-free zones” that have recently appeared in the public sphere, we have shown that Krakow is a city where everyone can feel safe and be treated with respect. We have sent a signal that we support LGBT+ people in these difficult times of media and political persecution and that we will fight for a city free from hatred, based on equality, acceptance, and freedom.
In the lobby of the Krakow City Hall, there was a #hatefreezone, where you could see an exhibition of photos from Krakow’s Equality Marches, taken by Agnieszka Fiejka. In addition, visitors could sign a solidarity book at the City Hall, and from 6 p.m. we danced together with the Unsound Festival on the square in front of the building!
We are with you!#loveislove #strefawolnaodnienawiści #kraków
The event was organized in cooperation with the Krakow Council for Equal Treatment.
