At the beginning of August, a social equality campaign called “Fly the flag, show your courage” (hashtag #flagiodwagi) was launched, which Queer May took under its wing. Its primary goal is to symbolically support all non-heteronormative people in Poland. The motivation for starting the campaign was deep opposition to the ongoing persecution of LGBTQIA people.

The campaign involves encouraging people to hang out rainbow flags in their windows, take photos of them, and send the photos to flagiodwagi@kinkywinky.pl

The organizers are targeting the event at those who care about how some people treat others. Participation in the campaign is an opportunity to express opposition and show help and support. By displaying a rainbow flag in your own window, you can easily make both invisible and visible minorities see a friendly space around them. In this simple way, you can give another person acceptance and a smile.

The campaign involves concrete help. Once a month, the most interesting and creative photos of flags will be rewarded. The prize is financial support for a selected organization fighting for LGBT+ equality. The prizes will be awarded every month until further notice.
